Jacco Post

Born in Amsterdam 1967, a daughter and a son. Autodidact, or rather, a lot of education, few diplomas. Started at early age as a roadie, he came to Veronica’s Countdown, a music television show long before MTV broke through. In 1990 he made the switch to (feature-) film. After working for over 15 years on film and television sets, he ran the lighting company Sparks from 1998 thru 2009. Besides, he served as a board member of the ‘Federatie Film Belangen’ for 5 years. In 2003 he started producing and directing. Since 2008, he has been producing branded content, corporate films and commercials for both cinema, television, online and events. In addition, he regularly writes concepts and scripts. Extremely driven and has a preference for technically challenging and logistically complex projects. Do not expect glamor and glitter. His approach is pragmatic and efficient. With countless hours of experience, he knows exactly what to do and what not. No-nonsense attitude and a hard worker. Work hard, play hard, so there’s always time for a joke and a beer after the wrap.

Geboren in 1967 in Amsterdam, een dochter en een zoon. Autodidact, lees: veel scholing, weinig diploma’s. Jong begonnen als roadie kwam hij via Veronica’s Countdown bij televisie belichting terecht. In 1990 maakte hij de switch naar (speel-)film. Na ruim 15 jaar op film- en televisiesets te hebben gewerkt runde hij van 1998 tot 2009 het belichtingsbedrijf Sparks. Daarnaast was hij 5 jaar lang bestuurslid van de Federatie Filmbelangen. In 2003 begonnen met produceren en regisseren. Sinds 2008 produceert hij met Get Across events, bedrijfsfilms en commercials, voor zowel bioscoop, tv als internet. Verder schrijft hij regelmatig (mee aan) concepten en scripts. Zeer gedreven en heeft een voorkeur voor technisch uitdagende en logistiek complexe projecten. Verwacht van hem geen glamour en glitter. Zijn aanpak is pragmatisch en efficiënt. Door talloze uren set ervaring weet hij precies waar je wel of niet mee wegkomt. No-nonsense attitude en een harde werker. Maar er moet wel gelachen worden tijdens de shoot. En na afloop een biertje.
